Taking a Break from my Doula Work

As we venture into 2015, I feel I am ready to begin a new journey down a new path- a path that consists of more family time and a less-hectic schedule.  As of now, I will not be accepting new clients, but will instead only work with previous clients on a case-by-case basis.  This is an indefinite break- I am not sure if or when I will be accepting new clients again, but I will update here when I do!

To my previous clients- please call/email/text me- your number is still in my phone. 🙂

My work as a doula has left me feeling so blessed because, selfishly, it’s been so rewarding for me!  I do feel I have touched so many lives.  I hope that through the last several years I have been a blessing to many others, either those I have worked for or those I have come across in the field.  I can truly say I have given my all and my everything at each birth I have attended.  Each was a learning opportunity to improve myself at future births, but some things can’t be prepared for.

I’ve been humbled many times over. I’ve had to put my pride aside, and I’ve had to put myself into the shoes of other parents, of doctors and nurses and midwives, and of other birth professionals.  I’ve come across people who think I have the best job in the world, and other people who think what I do is a waste of time.  I tend to think of it as one of the best jobs ever. 🙂

I have much knowledge to share, and would be happy to exchange emails with anyone who has questions for me- so feel free to drop me an email anytime!
